The PG & Research Department of Social Work organised a Two-Day Conference to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’- the commemoration of 75 years of progressive independent India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. The ICSSR sponsored Two-Day Conference on Sustainable Social Developments in India was organised on 9^th September, 2022. Rev.Fr.J. Andrews Raja, Head, Dept of Social Work welcomed the gathering. Dr. T. Selvam briefed the overall theme and specific themes of the conference. Rev. Dr. Antony Susairaj, was the Chair Person of the conference and the keynote speakers were Dr. J. Henry Rozario, the Director of Exodus Research and Training Development Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Dhandapani, Professor, Dept of Economics, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, Mr. Amala Vinod, Director, Don Bosco Tribal Development Society, Jamunamarathur, Thiruvannamalai District and Dr. Satheesh Kumar, Asst. Professor, Pondicherry Central University, Pondicherry respectively. Dr. Xavier Rajarathinam, Vice Principal, Sacred Heart College delivered the valedictory address and gave away the certificates to the participants. There were about 13 faculty, 8 research scholars, 1 practitioner, 16 other state students and 113 students from the parent state participated in the conference.
