The PG & Research Department of Mathematics organized an International Conference titled Mathematics and its Applications “ICMA 2022” on 5th & 6th May, 2022. The conference focused on the topic: Discrete Mathematics and Numerical Methods. Dr. A. George Maria Selvam, Head, Department of Mathematics and Chairman, ICMA 2022 delivered the keynote address. Rev. Dr. John Alexander, Rector and Secretary felicitated and wished the gathering a fruitful learning experience and released the proceedings of ICMA 2022.  Dr. M. Antony Arockiasamy, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics & Convener gave the dynamics of the conference.

On 5th May, 2022 the resource persons:  Prof. Toufik Mansour, Department of Mathematics, University of Haifa, Israel,   Prof. Joseph Varghese Kureethara.  Department of Mathematics, School of Sciences, Central Campus, CHRIST University, Bangalore, Prof. Lamberto Rondoni, Mathematics, Politecnico di, Italy addressed during the first, third and fourth sessions respectively.  During the second session research papers were presented by scholars virtually in 5 venues.

 

On 6th May, 2022 Dr. Hemen Dutta, Associate Prof. Department of Mathematics, Gauhati University, Prof. L. Jones Tarcius Doss, Department of Mathematics, Anna University,  Prof. Sandra Pinelas,  Academia Militar, Departamento de Ciências Exactas eNaturais, Portugal, shared the latest development in various fields of  Mathematics  in the fifth, seventh and eighth sessions respectively.  During the sixth session remaining papers were presented by various research scholars across the nation. The sessions were concluded with the feedback given by the participants and felicitations by Rev. Dr. Maria Arockiaraj SDB, Additional Principal and Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter SDB, Vice Principal (Shift I).  Dr. M. Antony Arockiasamy thanked the participants, paper presenters, resource persons, faculty members for their cooperation. The conference opened opportunities for the young researchers to present their research credentials and learn the advancements in quality research in Mathematics.  About 165 members attended the conference and 55 research papers were presented.
