Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore and Department of Economics, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur jointly organized a Workshop cum Focus Group Discussion on “Household Carbon Footprint” on 19^th January 2021 at Carreno Hall. Sizable number of participants from Department of Economics, Department of Social Work, Self Help Groups and Public attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to comprehend people’s perception and various factors that motivate them to follow eco-friendly path.

Dr. A.  Xavier Susairaj, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Sacred Heart College was delivered the welcome address. Dr. Sunil Nautiyal, Professor and Head, CEENR, ISEC delivered the keynote address on Household Carbon Footprint and its various dimensions. In his talk he emphasized on how youth would help to reduce Household Carbon Footprint and putting little efforts in making conservative use of the resources in day-today life. The participants were divided into four groups and the group discussed about household emission problems and solutions. Finally, Mr. Premkumar, Ph.D. scholar in Economics proposed the vote of thanks and Dr. J. Jacob Stanley Inbaraj, Assistant Professor of Economics coordinated the programme.
