Thats how I call itIf Football is The Beautiful Game then I call Basketball is a Glorious game.Dear friends and alumni of great institution of Sacred Heart College I am very happy to brief you about the ongoing Fr.Guezou State Level Basketball Tournament at our campus. We started this tournament last year (2009-2010) on the newly laid, well-lit basketball ground. This year, this tournament has been christened after the great missionary Fr.Guezou who has been a friend and benefactor of Sacred Heart College and who has reached for his heavenly reward one and half years back. The college management thought that it should perpetuate the name of this great stalwart, in the memory of the staff, students and the general public. The management felt one of the best way of achieving this goal is to name a tournament in Fr. Guezous memory. Thats how is the avatar of this glorious game. There are eight teams taking part in the event. We have completed the preliminary stage and the league will begin this evening under lights. The last years winners Loyola Chennai, the runners up St.Joseph Tiruchy, Bishop Heber College Tiruchy and Sacred Heart College Tirupattur have qualified for the last stage. We are in for great spectacle this evening with teams blowing hot and cold.
