The PG & Research Department of English Shift II organized the Invited Talk on Trauma Theory for the PG students on 22^nd August, 2023. Dr. Maria Liny Jenifer, Assistant Professor of English, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) was the resource person. Mrs. J. Mary Jenif, Head UG, Department of English welcomed the gathering. The resource person introduced the Trauma Theory and enlightened the students about the theory. The resource person discussed the history of trauma theory, its key concepts, and its applications to literary analysis. Finally, the resource person explored the ways in which trauma can be represented in literature. She discussed the use of symbolism, metaphor, and allegory in trauma literature. The talk was well-received by the students, it generated a lively discussion and 50 students got benefited.
