Event Details

The Department of Management Studies, Sacred Heart College celebrated the AIMS Management Week’ 2023 on the topic “Management Education: Harnessing the New Papradigm-2023”. The theme emphasized on preparing students to take up dynamic initiatives that inspires them to be more accountable to the society around them. In lieu with this the department designed four programmes with each having different reach to the community between 1st and7th August, 2023. 

The programme started with an inaugural session with the blessings of Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, SDB, Principal and introductory note by Dr. S. SasiKumar, Head, PG & Research Department of Management Studies followed by felicitation address by Rev. Fr. Jesu Manikam, SDB, Rector & Secretary, Dominic Savio Hr. Sec. School and the inaugural address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Samson Shanmugam, Vice-Principal (Administration -Shift II), Sacred Heart College.

The first programme of the management week was “Wellbeing Programme”. The event was coordinated by Mr. G. Lawrence, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management Studies and Lt. Thenmozhi. About 120 students attended the event. The second programme was “Blood Donation Camp”.  The campaign was initiated by Dr J.Sasiganth, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management Studies and commenced by Rev.Dr. G. Theophil Anand, Vice-Principal (Administration – Shift I), Sacred Heart College. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Government Hospital, Tirupattur. The third programme “Sapling Plantation” was carried out by the students in the A. K. Mottur Village.  Mr. R. Alexander, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management Studies led the programme and planted 50 saplings. The fourth porgramme was “Flash Mob”, it aimed to reduce the use of plastic among the residents of the Tirupattur District. Dr. Arockiamary R, Assistant Professor,  Dept. of Management Studies led the team in different locations of Tirupattur and created awareness.

Rev.Dr. D.Maria Antony Raj, Principal & Director, Department of Management Studies and Dr. S. Sasikumar, Head, Department of Management Studies coordinated the entire event.
