Blood Donation is considered as a life saving service. Sacred Heart College Alumni Association has organised the Blood Donation Camp at Sacred Heart College on 02^nd March 2021, in view to support the increasing demand for blood in the Government Hospital, Tirupattur. The Lions Club of Tirupattur and Red Ribbon Club of Sacred Heart College collaborated to organise the Blood Donation Camp. Vizhudugal Blood Donation Organisation has supported in this venture through their volunteer support.

Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated at 10.00 a.m. in the presence of Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, Principal, Sacred Heart College, Dr. Rathina Natarasan, Tamil Semmal and Former Lions District Governor, Nallasiriyar Mr. Sundaram, President – Lions Club of Tirupattur,  Dr. Kumaravel, Government Hospital, Tirupattur, Mr. Gopinathen, Vice President of Sacred Heart College Alumni Association and Mr. Arun Amudhan, Secretary, Vizhudugal Blood Donation Organisation.

Dr. C.R. Christi Anandan, Secretary, Sacred Heart College Alumni Association acted as master of ceremony. Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Rathina Natarasan, Rev. Dr. Maria Antony Raj facilitated the volunteers and Dr. Kumaravel, thanked the management for the wonderful support. Students of Shift-II actively participated and donated 70 Units of Blood. However 82 students had volunteered to provide blood.

The event came to an end at 2.00 p.m. We acknowledge the support of Mr. V. Madankumar, Assistant Professor, Department of English (Shift-I) and Dr. K. Anbarasu, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil (Shift-I) Staff in-charges of Red Ribbon Club of Sacred Heart College and members of Red Ribbon Club for their efforts to raise volunteers to donate blood.

The event showcased the goodwill of the student volunteers collaborating organisations. We thank the executive members of Sacred Heart College Alumni Association, Members of Lions Club and Vizhudhugal Blood Donation Organisation for their collaboration.
