Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur celebrated a meaningful Christmas amidst the pandemic on 22-12-2020, Tuesday at Kamarajar Arangam between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The members of the Salesian community, the teaching and non-teaching staff graced the occasion. The holy mass to invoke the blessings of God was led by Rev. Dr. John Alexander, Rector. A thought provoking homily was preached by Rev. Dr. S. John Borg SDB.  Rev. Dr. I. Joe Sanjay OFM Cap, Head, Dept. of Counselling Psychology gave a Christmas message “God with us”. He invited the participants of the Holy Mass to identify themselves with the poor and the needy just as our Blessed Lord did in His incarnation. Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antony Raj, Principal released the Sacred Heart Times, bimonthly newsletter of the college during the function. It was followed by the release of Constructive Java Programming- a book by the PG Department of Computer Science. Online journal Puthiya Avaiyam- Journal by the Department of Tamil, Journal of Computing and Intelligent Systems, Journal of Social Sciences and Management Research and Journal of Computational Mathematica were released and received by the esteemed members during the occasion. The Principal in his message exhorted the faculty members to find joy in “Real Giving”. The secret of becoming large and larger than life is in “Giving” just as God gave His only son to humanity. Christmas carols were sung by the college choir lead by Rev. Dr. Theophil Anand, Vice Principal Shift-II, and Rev. Fr. Daniel Ambrose, Asst. Prof., Department of Social Work. The celebration concluded with fellowship meal at DBIS.
