Sacred Heart College Celebrated it's 69th Annual Sports Meet on 27th July 2019. The event commenced invoking God's presence by the college choir. It was followed by homage to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam in remembrance of his 4th death anniversary. Rev. D. Dr. Maria Antony Raj, the Principal welcomed and introduced the chief guest to the gathering. Then the students performed march-past adorning the ground in various colours to display their skill and then the National Flag was hoisted. Later, the athletes who were successful in various events were called on to light the Olympic torch and take oath.

Chief Guest Dr.V.Gopinath, Registrar, Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University, in his address motivated the students to be more sportive, energetic and focussed on their goals. Mr. S. Ananthakumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Guest of Honour, in his address advised the students not be addicted to mobile phones and social media.  Being an alumni of Sacred Heart, he had learnt the values for life.
 
Various sports events were conducted for staff and students. Prizes were distributed to to the winners. The Overall Championship was won by the Department of Commerce.

The events concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by the Physical Director, Prof. Bento. He thanked the Management, for their unstinted support and encouragement in organizing this event.  He thanked the Chief Guest, Dr. V.
