The two days PSYCH EXPO with the theme “Know Thyself” was hosted by the Department of Counselling Psychology, Counselling Centre and the Fullness of Life Club on 25th and 26th February 2019. The event saw young enthusiastic participants from the Department of Counselling Psychology and Fullness of Life Club students. The expo was visited by 3000 college students of Sacred Heart College and 500 school students from Don Bosco Boys Higher secondary School, Dominic Savio Boys Higher Secondary School, Charles Matriculation Higher Secondary school, CSI Girls Higher Secondary and Government School, Asiriyar Nagar.
 
The objective of organizing the expo was to provide a platform and unleash the potential of the students by showcasing their knowledge and spreading the awareness towards the importance of mental health among the student community.

The inauguration of the Psych Expo witnessed the presence of Rev Dr. Maria Antony                      Principal and Rector Rev. Dr. Antony Raj along with the faculty members Rev. Dr. Joe Sanjay, Head, Rev Fr. Selvaraj, Rev. Sr. Anthoniammal and Ms. Latha Munuswamy, Students of Counselling Psychology and Fullness of Life Club members.
 
The Expo consisted of 12 stalls and the exhibits comprising novel models and charts based on the various aspects of Psychology. The exhibits were indeed eye openers as they were based on various psychological topics like Emotions, Counselling, Psychological games, Development Stages, Abuse, Addiction, Motivation,  Love and Relationships, Science of Human Body- Sexuality, Multiple Intelligence,  Physical, Mental Health and Happiness and Memory.
With an endeavour to promote psychological heath and to remove stigma towards mental health among the budding young students, this exhibition was a grand success. This exhibition was one of its kind, as the host team students participated only for the spirit of participation, imparting knowledge on the importance of mental health to the student community.
 
The valedictory function witnessed   the presence of Rev Fr. Daniel Ambrose who distributed the participation certificates and congratulated the students for their hard work.
The event became a grand success with the support of the Rector, Rev. Dr. Antony Raj, Principal, Rev. Dr. Maria Antony, Additional Principal, Rev. Dr. Maria Arokiaraj Shift II, HOD, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and energetic students from Counselling Psychology and Fullness of Life Club.
