The Department of Zoology (Shift II) organized the One Day Workshop on “Dissection Techniques in Zoology (DITZ-2024)” on 21^st February, 2024 between 10.00 am and 04.00 pm in Carreno Hall. The program consisted of two technical sessions. Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugam, Vice Principal Administration (Shift – II) ignited the lamp and inaugurated the program with his inaugural address and released the logo of the Department. Dr. A. Jayaprakash, Head, Department of Zoology and Dr. A. Vinothkannan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Zoology introduced the resource persons. About 109 students benefited from DITZ- 2024. The first session dealt with demonstration of invertebrate model- Cockroach and Prawn, which was delivered by Dr. R. Manikandan, Guest Lecturer, Department of Microbiology, Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore. The second session dealt with demonstration of vertebrate model –Mice and Fish anatomy, by Dr. A. Thirumurugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur. Dr. A. Jayaprakash gave the valedictory address and the resource persons distributed the certificates to the participants.
