The International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Applications (ICMA- 2024) was organized by the PG and Research Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Academia for Advanced Research in Mathematics Society (AARM) during 15^th and 16^th February, 2024.  The conference had eminent Mathematicians in attendance for being resource persons for the technical sessions: Dr. Sandra Pinelas, Academia Militar, Portugal, Dr. Lamberto Rondoni, Mathematiche, Politecnico di, Torino, Italy, Dr. Natesan Srinivasan. Professor (HAG), Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology,  Guwahati, Assam, Dr.Sadhasivam, Thiruvalluvar Govt. Arts College, Rasipuram, Dr. S. Parthiban, Department of Mathematics, Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Vadlamudi, Andhra Pradesh.

About 391 participants from various colleges actively participated in this conference and presented 240 research papers in both online and offline mode. The conference started with the words of welcome delivered by Dr. A. George Maria Selvam, the PG Head.  The inaugural address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Rector and felicitation address was delivered by Rev. Dr. D. Maria Antonyraj, the Principal. Rev. Dr. G.Theophil Anand, the Vice Principal-Shift-I (Admin) also graced the occasion by his presence. The conference proceedings were released by Rev. Dr. Praveen Peter, the Rector and Secretary, Sacred Heart College.

The valedictory programme was held on 16^th February at 3.00 p.m. It started with the words of welcome by Dr. R. Murali, the UG Head.  The valedictory address was delivered by Rev. Dr. K.A. Maria Arockiaraj, the Additional Principal in the august presence of Rev. Dr. D. Shanmugham, the Vice Principal-Shift-II (Admin). The Additional Principal appreciated the commitment and hard work of the faculty members of the department for making this conference a grand success. The conference concluded with words of gratitude by Rev. Dr. S. John Borg, the Convenor, ICMA 2024.
