On receiving the application form from the College Office, the applicant is requested to take note of the application Form Number. This must be quoted in all future correspondence.

Applicants are requested to fill in correctly the particulars called for in the form. No Column should be left blank. Incorrect or insufficient supply of information may lead to the rejection of the application.

Application form, duly filled in, should be sent to "The Principal, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur, Vellore Dt. 635 601." The applicant is requested to affix Rs.2.50 stamp on the Inland letter attached to the application form and to write his address clearly in BLOCK LETTERS.
4.
Application for the Degree Courses will be registered upto 10 days from the date of publication of the Higher Secondary Examination Result.
Admission
1.
Applicant will have to undergo an interview with the admission Committee, and if finally selected, will be intimated through post. Admission Cards sent by post are at the risk of the applicants.
2.
Application Form Number should be quoted for all enquiries about the application forwarded.
3.
Card-holders should pay the prescribed fees on the specified date. They should produce along with the card, their certificates in original and two sets of attested copies. The applicant's name will then be placed on the rolls.
4.
At the time of admission, students must pay the fees in full. Fees once paid will not, on any account, be refunded if a student leaves the College after he has been enrolled and his name entered in the College registers. SC/ST and AD Christians are exempted from tuition fee only on production of community certificate.
5.
Admission is subject to verification of mark certificate by the director of Government Examination and if the mark Certificate is found to be Bogus, admission will be cancelled and legal action will be taken.
6.
Fifty percent (50%) of the admissions will be done as per Government reservation Rules.
7.
For admission to M.C.A., candidates should take common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University or by any other approved Agency.
The admission shall be made purely on the basis of merit subject to the reservation rules of the Government of
Tamil Nadu i.e., 31% of open competition; 20% for Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities ( MBC/DNC) 30% for Backward Classes (BC) 18% for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 1% for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Quota For Physically Handicapped
1.
Out of the quota of 19% (18% SC and 1% ST) reserved for SC/ST, 3 out of every 100 seats shall be reserved for physically handicapped persons belonging to SC and ST.
2.
Out of the quota for 50% (30% BC and 20% MBC/DNC) reserved for Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities, 3 out of every 100 vacancies/seats shall be reserved for physically handicapped persons belonging to BC, MBC and DNC.
3.
Out of the quota of 31% intended for open competition 3 out of every 100 seats shall be reserved for physically handicapped in general.
Quota for Ex-Servicemen/Tamil Students of Andaman and Nicobar
a)
Six seats in Under Graduate courses shall be reserved for the children of Ex-Servicemen of Tamil Nadu Origin.

b)
1. Two seats in P.G Course shall be reserved for the children of Ex-servicemen of Tamil Nadu origin if the college has two P.G Courses.
2. Three seats in P.G Course shall be reserved if the college has more than two P.G Courses (G.O. Ms. No. 230, Hr. Edn (GI) Department, Dated 23-07-2001).
c)
Two seats shall be reserved in Under Graduate courses in Tamil Medium in each college for the benefit of Tamil Students of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar.
Certificates to be presented while paying fees
1.
Transfer Certificate and two attested copies.
2.
Conduct Certificate and two attested copies.
3.
Higher Secondary Certificate and two attested copies.
4.
Degree Grade for P.G. Course and two attested copies
5.
Community Certificate and two attested copies.
6.
Students from Universities, other than Thiruvalluvar University, must produce eligibility certificate from Thiruvalluvar University.
7.
Results of Entrance Test ( for MCA only) and two attested copies.
Note
Students are advised to keep with them xerox copies of their certificates before submitting the originals to the office. Requisition for original certificates once submitted in the office, will not be entertained.
